I can no longer call Merlin the best worst show ever...'cause OMG. That episode was AWESOME.

I AM SUCH AN IDIOT.

I completely forgot that even though the window I was in was still signed into my new fic journal, I had actually signed back into this journal, and so when I changed my layout I was changing THE WRONG FUCKING JOURNAL.  And now I've lost the layout I had, because yes, apparently I am such an idiot I don't have a backup of it anywhere.

And yes, I'm currently sitting here sobbing, because I am insanely overly emotional and because I am not good at coding and it took me AGES to make that layout right and now it's FUCKING GONE.


ETA: If you look at the actual journal it's going to be a mess for awhile 'cause I just found the layout I'd manipulated and so am currently recreate.  Wish me luck...and that it doesn't take the hours and hours of work it did before 'cause no joke, I am TERRIBLE at this stuff.


Another ETA:  Ok, so I changed the basics.  There's a lot of other little stuff I did, but I can't be arsed to do it right now.  Font colors, stuff like that.  But I managed to get the big stuff done fairly quickly 'cause apparently I remember this layout and what I did to it better than I thought...so there weren't nearly as many baby steps of changes as I thought there'd be.  And yes, I now have a backup file in case I'm an idiot and do it again.  Teach me to make that mistake ever again.  Geez

So while I was in the UK, I found it very amusing that every single person I talked to about Merlin told me that they think there's something going on between Merlin and Arthur, before I said anything beyond the fact that I liked the show.  Even my in-laws said this!  I honestly didn't say a thing about the fact that I shipped them until after they'd already told me.  And every single person agreed that Arthur & Gwen make no sense what-so-ever because Bradley and Angel just don't have any chemistry.  And I talked to a fair few people about it.  So I honestly think the show's writers should give up on the idea that they have to get Gwen & Arthur together, and just go with the Merlin/Arthur story already 'cause it's a more compelling story, and it's happening without them even intending for it to happen anyway.

Also, why the hell would you cast a love story, and not get the two actors together to make sure they have chemistry first?  'Cause according to the making of the last episode, that's exactly what they did.  Apparently Angel was cast as Gwen after her first audition, without meeting Bradley.  That makes NO SENSE.  I don't care how good the actors are, you cannot create chemistry where there is none.  David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson hated each other, but it didn't matter because their chemistry was so amazing that you never knew it.  But Bradley and Angel, good friends though they might be, have no chemistry and it shows every time they're on screen together.  It's just SO ANNOYING.

I've written a Merlin/Arthur fic based on an idea that popped into my head on the very long (12 hours for goodness sakes) flight back from the UK.  It's pretty epic.  There's no way in hell I'm posting it here though, 'cause I'm not that brave.  If you're interested (which I don't even know if anyone on here watches the show beyond Kim, and she's my beta) let me know and I'll give you the link to my newly created fic journal.  It's not up just yet, but should be soon.  Just gotta tweak the ending.

I was just looking at my home page and it says I haven't posted in a week, that always makes me sad.  Of course, I'm crazy busy right now.  Pretty much having four jobs at the mo means I'm keeping very busy, and still have tons to get done.  On top of that we're already getting ready for Halloween, and two weeks from now I'll be on a plane to the UK...so much going on!

Mainly I'm trying to juggle getting site forms for the project in August done (which need to be done by the beginning of Oct...and things keep getting in the way to try and stop that from happening), and working on the store (happy link is happy).  We're doing alright considering we're both so slammed we haven't had much time to do anything...so considering no marketing work whatsoever, I'm actually kind of happy with where we are so far.  Sure, more would be nice...but to get more you have to work at it, and when you don't have a lot of time...this is good.  I'm having a blast doing it though.  I really enjoy making all the stuff and hearing what people have to say about it.  We're slowly expanding the products we do have to get more variety (I'm big on variety for some reason)...and I don't know, I just love it.  I'm actually really looking forward to the House Tour & Craft Fair at my parents place Thanksgiving weekend...even if I have to do the tours, and so won't be able to work the table myself.  Should be fun to see what people walking up to the table thing.

Slowly getting back into the swing of having way too many tv shows to watch too.  Supernatural has really become one of my favorite shows...and it was only a guilty pleasure at first.  ( possible spoilers... )

Merlin is my new guilty pleasure show.  I heart it so much.  It really is the best worst show EVAR.  ( spoilers )
Beyond that...only Castle, Heroes and Bones have been back on already.  Bones gets better and better every season, to the point where I enjoy it now a lot more than I thought I would.  Castle...::sigh::  I love Nathan so much, and this show is all about him and his being awesome...but man the rest of it is TEDIOUS.  If it gets canceled it really won't matter much to me, except that I'd feel bad for him.  And Heroes...god, why am I still watching this show?  Actually, correct that...why is Matt still making me watch this show?  He really wanted me to try and watch the premiere this past Monday with him...and I did, though I'll admit I spent a lot of time on the net while doing so, 'cause I was just bored out of my mind.  I swear all the characters are just back where they started and I DON'T CARE.  I think he may just watch after I go to bed from now on, 'cause I'm over it.

Tonights the return of CSI and the Mentalist.  Tomorrow we get Dollhouse back (SO EXCITED).  I've been watching Glee which is just embarassing at times (I get easily embarassed for other people, so this show is painful...but cute).  And I think we're gonna give Flash Forward a try. 

It's a much shorter list than last year...which is a good thing 'cause we really do watch too much tv.  Plus, all that other crap to do.  :-)

Tomorrow I take my Mom to Disneyland to see all the awesome Halloween stuff they're doing this year (fireworks!  There are Halloween themed fireworks!) and for her bday which is next week, and is the day her pass expires.  Saturday we have our first Halloween party meeting.  Trying to reign Steve in is already failing miserably this year.  ;-)  At least we might get him to not invest quite as much as he did last year...but we'll see.  ;-)

I is listening to the new Muse cd, The Resistance, and am once again...IN LOVE.  No, it's no Black Holes and Revelations, but it was never going to be.  I mean that cd is perfect in my eyes...it made me cry the first time I listened to it for goodness sakes.  That's NEVER HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE (or since).  

But The Resistance is freakin awesome.  I think Resistance is my favorite song so far.  The minute it started I was like "Oh, I can already tell I'm gonna LOVE this song."  That's mostly because any song in which Matt Bellamy plays piano = win for me.  I immediately start envisioning him playing the song live and start to swoon.  Because my favorite part of a Muse concert is any moment when Matt Bellamy plays piano.  ::fans self::  In fact, I love watching documentaries when they zoom in on him playing the guitar too...which has made me realize I must just have a thing for hands, 'cause he has gorgeous hands (it's one of my fav things about DT too...beautiful hands with very long fingers).

Of course, it's really Matt's voice that makes me love Muse so very much.  And Exogeneis Symphony Parts 1, 2, and 3 (yes, it's three tracks...the Overture, Cross-Pollination, and Redemption) are just amazing.  His voice at it's very best.  Alyse, I think you would even like these ones since I know you said you liked his voice, and your problem was the guitar heavy stuff...which this is most definitely not.  Even when it is guitar it isn't the heavy hard stuff they can do.  After all, it is a symphony.

And OMG, there's Clarinet on I Belong to You!  ::dies::  It's Bass Clarinet...but still.  Stephanie and I are totally talking about learning to play it.  :-)

It's probably a very good thing they're not playing the Continent until after we leave the UK (they're in Texas while we're there, hilarious)...because I think if they were we might have been tempted to go.

Oh, and that Muse tattoo I was supposed to get for my 30th bday?  I wants it NOW.

Yep, back to civilization...exhausted, and I'd post something about what we found and stuff like that...but I honestly don't want to talk about Archaeology at all.  3 weeks of nothing but will do that to you.  I'll just say we found some amazing stuff, so much so that we honestly got sick of yelling "projectile point" and "biface" every time we found them (100+ on one site alone...and we found 40...will do that to you).  I will post a great big post all about it...as soon as I've recovered.

In the mean time, Kim and I have been working on a little something and I'd like to see what you guys think of it.  It's our little etsy shop (LINK!)...we've been working on the stuff for ages...but only just started listing products last week.  So...whatdya think?  We're still working out the kinks of course...and there's a ton we have planned that we haven't put up so far (including many Doctor Who and other fandom related items we've started on, but haven't gotten ready to put up...buttons, and pendants, and bookmarks and whatever else I can think of).  But this is a start and I'm all excited and nervous and want feedback now!  :-)
